I'm a Beach Bum!

This morning Greg took me to the beach!! I got to sniff more stuff than you could imagine! I sniffed sea shells, seaweed, Pelican poop and a big dead fish! I tried to roll on the dead fish, but Greg stopped me. He mumbled something about me getting a bath ... I really wasn't listening.

I also got to chase some crabs (they are FAST!!), and I wanted to go in the water til I saw the waves (see the big one behind me?). They are much bigger in person. I can't wait to see what's next!

My Whirlwind Day in Florida

Greg (my current foster dad) and I went to the city park today. I was a very well-behaved houndie. We met a lot of people, and I got lots of pets and bellyrubs. Greg handed out some little cards [Wendell's very own business cards that explain his mission], but I was too busy sniffin' stuff to see what was on them.

I decided that I like sitting on the dock...

I barked and barked, but the big statue guy would not pet me!

I don't think the manatees can run very fast....but I bet I could catch one!

Pelican Island is the nations first wildlife refuge... founded in 1903.

I saw the sign for the town where Greg and Robin (my current fosters) live, but I haven't seen any grouches yet (despite what it says).

They have this funky painted turtle statue in the city park.

Space Waddle??

WOW! I arrived in sunny Florida just in time to catch the launch of the Space Shuttle. How cool is that??!! I wonder if there are any space waddles that I could attend?? I think I'd make a pretty good astronaut -- can you imagine how a good basset "AHROOO" would echo in outerspace?!

Hey, What's This Stuff???

This is California?? It IS beautiful -- and the sun is certainly shining, but this white stuff is COLD on a poor plush pup's paws! I think it may be time to head to Florida! It will be hard to leave my new pals, but the Sweetheart Waddle awaits!

Max and Mr. Wiggins have really made me feel so welcome on my stay here in Antelope. Mr. Wiggins even allowed me to borrow his personal cushion. What a great guy!

Inspector K9 -- On the Job

Well, we settled our little domestic dispute, and I am officially a Woofn' Treats inspector (at least for the duration of my foster visit). I take my responsibilities very seriously as you can see. If you hurry, you might still be able to order a box or two, but they're going F*A*S*T! I'm giving every batch my special paw-print of approval...
